How does it work

Everyone completes our questionnaire. We match the requests of both parties as closely as possible. We pay special attention to lifestyle, standards and values so that everyone feels more comfortable swapping homes with similar people. We have been matching people to share homes and mind homes since 1987.

How do I find the right person

Once the questionnaire is complete your short profile will appear on this website. When we have a match for you we will email you the details of a suitable swap. You contact the other party and discuss the finer details. If you have a friend or relative in the region of the swap they could meet with the home owner and give you added assurance of the suitability of the swap.

How much does it cost

The total cost is $150 per swap. This is our administration fee to match your file. If you do not find a suitable swap you can use your fee next time.

House swapping works the same as house minding. Read all the details on our house minding page. You may swap directly with one party or there may be three or four people involved in the swap. For instance if you live in Sydney, you may move into a home in Melbourne. The people in Melbourne may want to go to Perth not Sydney. Perhaps the Perth family will take your Sydney home, or we will find another party for that.
