Overview
Many people looking for somewhere to live want to know who they are meeting. It is so much nicer to have a short list of people and places carefully chosen from our files than the hit and miss process of sifting through newspaper or online advertisements.
We are the only service that matches your requests and personally refers you to other members. This level of screening will save you time, and increase your chances of finding the most compatible people. This is an intelligent way to find a compatible co-sharer.
We have developed our systems over the last 20 years, they are very smart. You complete our detailed questionnaire and we send you a short list by return email (during office hours). You can also look through the member list and pick out some listings that interest you, we then make sure that the finer details match.
This website also has a wealth of house and flat sharing resources to assist you to share successfully.
People who come to us are usually serious about their lifestyles, it’s important to them who they live with. Therefore this service attracts good calibre people who know the value of a service like ours, they don’t have time to waste.
After you have registered we work closely with both sides monitoring feedback to help both of you choose the right person. We are always available to give confidential advice after you have moved in together. We also give you two months to settle in, to make sure your choice is the right one.
A central referral centre increases your options as well. Not only are you exposed to more people, we encourage everyone to be more flexible. For example, often we have found people the best person to live with in an adjacent suburb they may not have considered. Living with the right person is worth it.
For security we ask everyone to send us a copy of their ID : drivers licence, passport, or birth certificate. Everyone provides as least one referee.
We will refer you to as many places as you like, and we’ll give you two months to settle in – if you are incompatible, we will reopen your file.

It can be risky advertising for someone to move into your place. Let us ask all the questions, even those you don't like to ask, or didn't think to ask. Take advantage of our years of experience. Our thorough questionnaire covers all aspects about you and your place; type of dwelling, bedroom, bathroom, toilet, laundry, shared areas, storage, parking as well as outdoor facilities and details about your area, pets and transport. We also ask about your lifestyle by using special codes which assist us to match you. You will be very comfortable talking to the people we refer to you. Added security comes from the feedback we collect. If someone provides feedback that gives us cause for concern we will advise you. We can also assist you to get the best rent: Is your rent flexible for the right person? This is how it works: If your rent of $180 flexible by say $40 - ie the minumum you would accept for the perfect person - we enter your Maximum rent and the computer does the calculation and matches your minimum with the person wanting the room's maximum - they get a print out of the maximum rent with a note to say that if the rent is above their limit we know it can be negotiated for the right person. So you may get $170 if that is their limit. It works better if the negotiations are made through us. | There are two ways you can use this service:
This is the easiest way to find the right place with the right people. We have collected a lot of data about all the households on our books and know which people and places will suit you. Some of these places have been members for years, their friends use us too – that’s a lot of places exclusively available through us. People say how nice it is to meet a short list of carefully chosen people. Often, after people decide on a place, they maintain social contact with the others they have met – that’s good matching for you. Are you sick of arriving at the door and not wanting to go in? Fed up with the heartbreak of missing out on the place you really wanted to move into? Tired of wasting time looking at the wrong places? And have you worked out how much it costs – travelling expenses, phone calls and your precious time? Finding a place through us is like looking at hundreds of places – more than you could see over a few weekends. The ideal is that you decide to look at your options well in advance, to give yourself plenty of time to find the right people to live with. |
Registration is simple
Complete the application for the service your require. Alternative ways to pay your fee:
- by credit card over the phone,
- by faxing your credit card number or
- by bank deposit/online transfer: Westpac/Bank of Melbourne BSB 033-086 Account 144-806 Locate a branch
By registering with us you confirm that you have read our agreement of service.
The registration process in this order is:
- Pay your fee which is non refundable[1].
- Provide personal details to enable us to allocate a file on the database and issue you with a member ID.
- By personally giving us these details you authorise your credit card payment.
- If you wish to discontinue the registration process at any stage, your database file is suspended and you can reactivate it to the value of the fee you paid at any future date.
If you wish to begin the registration process by fax or post copy your ID (enlarge and lighten the photocopy). If paying by credit card include your credit card number and expiry and the words "I give permission for a fee of $__ to be deducted from my credit card." If you paid by bank deposit include a copy of the deposit slip. You can email a .jpg file containing your scanned ID but please save it at 72 dpi otherwise the file is too big.

Fee Policy
There is no time limit on your membership. If you find your own person you can reuse the fee next time. How fair is that! You can reopen your file a number of times. However, we reserve the right to ask you to pay another fee if you reopen your file too often.
Fee in Credit: If you already have a fee in credit complete the registration and choose payment option "pay by phone". Upon verification we will send you a link to stage 2 of questionnaire.
